The section explores the
missiles of the Strategic Air Command. The short lived Snark was
the first cruise missile. The Thor and Jupiter were IRBM -
Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles that were deployed in England
and Turkey. The Atlas, Titan, Minuteman and Peacekeeper were
ICBMs - Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, all deployed within the
continental United States
