USAF Aircraft

    This section contains at least one page on each aircraft flown by the USAF from its beginning in 1946 to date.  SAC's primary aircraft was the bomber and that section is extensive.  Tankers and Reconnaissance aircraft were extensively used by SAC.  SAC also had a few fighters.  Many SAC bases were assigned a few cargo planes and trainers.

Attack Planes Attack Aircraft
The U.S. Air Force attack planes were a product of the war in Vietnam.  The C-119 and C-130 cargo planes were equipped with awesome fire power to support the ground troops.
Strategic Air Command Bombers Bombers
These aircraft were the backbone of SAC.  Extensive coverage of everything from the B-29 to the B2 Stealth Bomber.  Large sections on the B-36 Peacemaker, the B-47 Stratojet, the B-52 Stratofortress, and the Convair B-58 Hustler.  The FB-111 and B-1 are also well covered.  .
Cargo Aircraft 
Everything from the C-46 Commando to the giant C-5. 
USAF cargo planes Command Aircraft
SAC veterans are most familiar with the Looking Glass airborne command posts.  They started idea, but now there are other flying control centers.  
USAF fighter planes Fighters
The last of the prop fighters, (the Twin Mustang), the early jets, the famous "hundred fighters" (F-101, F-102, F-104, F-105and F-106), legendary F4 Phantom of Vietnam fame and all the latest aircraft: Eagle, Falcon and Raptor.

Tankers
The means by which SAC extended the range of its aircraft.  The KC-97, KC-135 and KC-10 are explored.

Everyone's favorites, the T-33 Shooting Star and the T-38 Talon, plus the latest training aircraft.
