The Units

The 802^nd Air Division was activated on 28 May 1952; the 802^nd manned, trained, and equipped the 40^th and 310^th Bombardment Wings. This mission involved training in long-range bombardment and air refueling operations. The 802^nd participated in exercises such as Phillip Morris, Parade Ground, and Pacesetter.
