45th Air Division
 

    The 45th Air Division was reactivated on 24 Sep 1954; and assigned to the Strategic Air Command. On 8 Oct 1954, the division immediately assumed responsibility for the training and combat readiness of its assigned units. The 45th achieved this goal through staff assistance visits and supervising or participating in exercises such as Golden Hour Tango, Rubber Ball, and Sky Shield.
